knowledge model you can audit, word by word

How it works

Three steps, and the third one repeats.

  1. 1

Choose something you want to read

The hundred most-read public-domain books in your language are one tap away, and the whole catalogue is searchable. Or paste an article, a note, song lyrics, or the address of a page.

  2. 2

Read, and tap what you don't know

A tapped word shows its meanings in your language, with the sentence it came from. Ask for a translation of the sentence when you want one, or a grammar note. Have the text read aloud at normal or slow pace.

  3. 3

Let the words come back to you

Every word you meet has a level: New, Recognise, Understand, Use. Reading and short reviews are the evidence; the model suggests a change and you decide. Nothing moves without you seeing why.

Features

Everything a reader needs, nothing a game needs.

  • A library that starts full

Real books, in the original language, with a cover, a level estimate, and the share of words you already know shown before you open them.

  • A reader built for not knowing yet

Meanings in context, sentence translation on demand, grammar notes, a sentence-structure view, and your own notes on any word.

  • Dictionaries you choose

Wiktionary, DeepL and AI meanings, enabled and ordered per language pair. Every saved meaning remembers where it came from.

  • A model that shows its work

Your self-assessment is the starting point. Each word keeps a complete audit trail, and the Help page documents every weight and rate.

  • Reviews that fit the day

Due words return in short active-recall sessions graded Again, Hard, Good, or Easy. No leaderboards, no guilt, no streak to protect.

  • Progress you can trust

Reading, vocabulary and activity per language, with an estimated CEFR level worked out from the words you actually know.
